In bowhunting, accessories matter. You can have the best bow ever made, but outfit it with a sub-par sight and send arrows with a release that isn’t crisp, smooth, and fun to shoot, and accuracy problems will occur.

In an archery world full of innovations and state-of-the-art technology, a few companies in the last few years have stepped up their game to create some of the best archery products ever. UltraView is one of those companies. Their UV Slider sight and UV Button release are two of the best-built and most innovative archery products on the market to date. UltraView’s attention to detail, craftsmanship, enhanced ergonomics, and lethal functionality put UltraView at the top of the food chain, and for good reason.
UV Slider
As a bowhunter, your bow sight is one of the best investments you can make. When the moment of truth presents itself, the last thing you want to worry about is your sight’s functionality, dependability, toughness, or accuracy. This sight has it all and then some. The UV Slider is a sliding sight that can run sight cartridges. These cartridges give you options. You can create a 3-pin horizontal slider, a vertical single-pin vertical, or a vertical triple-pin, all while not changing your yardage tape. That’s pretty awesome!
Regardless of the cartridge, your pins match up at the same point. This means you can swap cartridges and not have to re-sight in from scratch each time. Only your added pins would change. For example, the middle pin of the 3-pin horizontal cartridge matches up with the vertical single pin or the top pin of the vertical double. This is an excellent feature. It allows you to customize your shooting experience to the bowhunt or shooting scenario you’ll be in. I can go from a vertical single pin for early-season mule deer to a 3-pin horizontal for chasing rutting elk. This is a fantastic for a bowhunter planning on hunting multiple species in a season.
Some other amazing features of this sight are the Dual Dial, which utilizes the ability to lock and unlock the windage and elevation. With this built-in technology, it makes this sight one of the most user-friendly sight adjustment system on the market.
Triple Mark technology is a unified indicator and pin pairing solution that makes any pin a floating pin. This guarantees precision at any distance and allows the pins and indicators to be very close to one another for increased accuracy.
Quick Break is state-of-the-art technology that allows a bowhunter to quickly disassemble his sight for travel or storage. With the push of a button, you can quickly detach and then, later, reattach the scope housing to the vertical rail. This makes cleaning this sight a breeze.
Some other great features are twin sight tapes, a built-in sight light, anti-backlash in all of the adjustment knobs and wheels, and pre-aligned 2nd axis with micro-adjust 1st and 3rd axis. These features make sighting in this sight easy. The sight comes in at $599.99. It comes with a carrying case and a plethora of extra parts in case something breaks, or is lost.
So, what do all of these features mean to a bowhunter? All in all, a bowhunter is only as reliable and deadly as their equipment and ability. This sight has made me a more lethal bowhunter.
The sight is bombproof, and as far as durability and reliability go, I’ve been using this sight for the last four months without malfunction.
The UV slider is the most accurate sight I’ve ever owned. I equate that to its smooth micro-adjustments and pinpoint accuracy features. There is ZERO slop or play in this sight and it is truly so fun to sight in and shoot. With the ability to quickly change out sight cartridges, you can customize this sight to every bowhunt or range mission. I highly recommend you look at this sight if you’re in the market for a high-end hunting sight.
UV Button
I love hunting with a hand-held release aid. When it comes to hand-held releases, there are hinges, thumbs, and tension. I gravitate toward the thumb button. With the ability to hook my release aid onto my d-loop, I can run my rangefinder or make any final adjustments before the shot with the ease of my release clipped onto my string.
I’ve also loved the ability to make surprise releases, which has made me highly accurate. I believe an excellent button release can be the most precise release aid when shot correctly. UltraView saw a market for a button-style release to solve a few problems they thought the release-aid industry lacked. The problems UltraView looked to remedy included precise adjustments, a design that perfectly fits your hand, and the ability to switch between a hinge release and a button release without changing anchor point, form, or hand placement. The UV Button was created to fix all of these problems and more.
The UV Button is a three-finger release with an exact replica design of the Hinge2 from UltraView. Depending on your preferences, you can get the release in stainless steel or aluminum. It comes in either right/left hand or medium/large sizes. This release can be bought in Matte Black or Smoke Grey for $349.99.
One feature I appreciate is UltraGlide. This is an advanced self-lubricating bushing system. This internal system isolates all unnecessary metal-on-metal contact. This boosts functionality and release longevity.
This release has micro-adjustments for travel and force. You can set it as light as a feather or super heavy, forcing you to work the release very hard to fire the shot without swapping springs or changing out internal parts. This is highly user-friendly.
You can add a lanyard to this release, allowing you to have the release connected to your wrist. And, as mentioned, I love that I can clip my release to my d-loop.
The thumb knob has an ergonomic dished contour with nonslip spiral-designed grooves to ensure it fits in your thumb perfectly. Let these grooves fall into your thumb one time and feel how easy it is to obtain a surprise release, and this may be the last thumb-button release you ever shoot.
A Cerakote coating boosts longevity and reduces shine. The release is available in Smoke Grey and Matte Black finish options.
If you’re in the market for a reliable and super-accurate thumb button, look no further than this release from UltraView. I’ve been using it for two hunting seasons and have loved shooting it.
And if you’re a hinge guy who wants a Thumb for hunting season, this is the perfect pair for you. The Hinge 2 and thumb will pair up perfectly and not change your anchor or point of impact. Check this thumb button out, and I’m sure you’ll be happy you did.
