German Precision Optics has updated its GPO RangeGuide 10×50 rangefinding binocular with revised electronics, next-generation laser technology, an improved display, and expanded ranging capability. The new model pushes maximum ranging distance to 3,600 yards while retaining the compact dimensions and 50mm objective lenses of the original design.
Aimed at hunters and long-range shooters who want ranging capability integrated into their primary observation optic, the upgraded RangeGuide combines 10X magnification with angle-compensated distance measurement, environmental data, and multiple ranging modes. GPO also revised the operating system to make field adjustments and information access more straightforward.

The notable part of this update is the combination of increased ranging distance and a relatively compact 50mm binocular package. Rangefinding binoculars continue to appeal to hunters who would rather consolidate observation and distance measurement into one optic, particularly in western hunting and other open-country applications where ranging opportunities can extend well beyond typical woods distances.
The 50mm objectives also position the RangeGuide toward users who prioritize low-light performance but do not want the size normally associated with larger binoculars. GPO says its double-HD laminated lenses and GPObright coatings are intended to improve light transmission, resolution, and edge-to-edge sharpness under those conditions.
