Traditions Firearms is adding the 400 Legend chambering to its Outfitter G3 centerfire rifle lineup for 2026. The new configuration is aimed at hunters in states where straight-wall cartridges are required or permitted for deer hunting.
The Traditions Outfitter G3 400 Legend rifle is positioned as a lightweight, rugged hunting option. Traditions says the .400 Legend provides hard-hitting performance, manageable recoil and a flatter trajectory than many traditional straight-wall cartridges, giving whitetail hunters an option intended for extended effective range while remaining compliant with applicable regulations.

The Outfitter G3 in 400 Legend was scheduled for display at Traditions’ SHOT Show Booth #14638 from Jan. 20–23, 2026, at the Venetian Expo Center and Caesars Forum in Las Vegas. The release does not provide an MSRP or retail availability date.
