Wildlife Research Center launches six new products designed to enhance your hunts by bringing game closer to you and allowing you to hunt undetected.

I’ve never been a big believer in scents to draw big-game animals close. Aside from mock scrapes and the occasional splash of Wildlife Research Center’s Trials End #307, I prefer to keep things 100 percent natural when I’m hunting.

However, whether chasing elk in the Rockies or whitetail in the Midwest, I always use a variety of scent-killing products from Wildlife Research Center. WRC is a brand I’ve learned to trust. When I find something that works and proves itself to me in the woods, I stick with it.

When hunting the backcountry, I always have Scent Killer Gold Full Body Deodorant Spray, Scent Killer Gold Heavy Washcloths, and a bottle of Scent Killer Gold Autumn Formula with me.

If whitetails are on the to-hunt docket and I have a place to stay and shower, my WRC routing is always the same. I shower with Scent Killer Gold Body Wash & Shampoo, dry off with a towel washed in Scent Killer Gold Laundry Detergent, and slip into a baselayer washed in Gold Laundry Detergent. After washing, all garments are sprayed with Scent Killer Gold Autumn Formula after drying.

When I exit my truck, I dress in my hunting garments, which I keep in a scent-free tote. Lastly, I spray down as well as possible with Scent Killer Gold Autumn Formula.

Naturally, I’ve tried and tested different scent-killing products, but what I’ve learned is that none are as effective as those from WRC.

For 2026, WRC launches a litany of new products—scents and scent killers—that will appeal to many. Let’s find out what the Wildlife Research Center has in store for 2026 and see if any new products catch your eye.

Special Golden Estrus 35th Anniversary Edition

A staple for many, WRC celebrates its 35th year of providing hunters with Special Golden Estrus with its new  Special Golden Estrus Anniversary Edition.

A favorite of whitetail goers, Special Golden Estrus uses premium doe urine with estrous secretions, and each bottle is individually labeled with a serial number and a “Use By” date.

Trusted by hunters for 35 years, Anniversary bottles are available in 1-, 4-, and 8 oz. sizes, and the formula is lab-tested and certified to have estrogen levels of 30 pg/ml at the time of collection.

Calming Scent Spray and Stick

Created to soothe, relax, and attract deer, WRC’s Calming Scent know comes in a pair of application styles. Use the spray to mist the area, or rub the Scent Stick on bark, bushes, etc.

According to WRC, the 2.5-ounce Calming Stick includes urine and other scents found in deer bedding areas. Deer know where they’re safe, and though a shooter buck won’t bed in the same spot every day, he knows the scents found in any bedding area. When his olfactory system detects the relaxing scents found in the Calming Stick and the Scent Spray, the idea is that the buck will feel safer and more relaxed, taking the attention off you and allowing you to get an arrow in him.

The Scent Stick is weather-resistant and long-lasting, and is a great scent to use all season long. I plan to rub some on the trunk and branches around my treestands this coming fall.

Fresh Earth & Fresh Pine Cover Scent Sprays

Two products that will be a go-to for me are WRC’s 8-ounce aerosol spray Fresh Earth and Fresh Pine. I’ve had excellent success with my scent-free methods and soaking my tree in Scent Killer Gold Autumn Formula. These cover-scent sprays mask human odor and reduce your human footprint.

WRC notes that both sprays are extra-concentrated and will stand up to Mother Nature and last a long time. Excellent for whitetail hunters, these sprays will also be in my elk pack in September. There’s no way to stay scent-free on a backcountry hunt. However, if you have an extra-concentrated cover scent spray, it may give you the seconds you need when a big bull is in range and the wind shifts.

Golden Estrus Scent Stick

I love deodorant-style scent and scent-killing sticks. Sticks reduce the mess and won’t spill in your backpack. I hate getting deer scents on my hands and smelling urine for days. The Golden Estrus Scent Stick is a weather-resistant, long-lasting estrous scent made with fresh, super premium doe urine and estrus secretions.

Scent Killer Gold Full Deodorant Spray

Available in a 3.6-ounce aerosol spray can, Scent Killer Gold Full Deodorant Spray lets you douse your body in a scent-killing mist. Designed for full-body odor control, this spray is perfect for public-land whitetail hunters and backcountry wanderers. From your pits to your feet, this innovative full-body scent killer is long-lasting and is an ideal pre-hunt and on-the-hunt choice.

Ultimate Bear Lure

I hunt bears each spring, and am excited about WRC’s Bear Lure. An oily formula bears can’t resist, Ultimate Bear Lure lasts long, and resist moisture. Ultimate Bear emits an intense, burning sweet aroma that bears can’t resist. Use Ultimate Bear Lure on its own, or add it to your bait sites and attract more bears.

Bear Lure is available in a new 9-ounce size, and the large squirt-style top makes application easy.

Final Thoughts

Wildlife Research Center has been helping hunters punch tags for 40 years. Still, they keep pushing forward. Their goal: to provide hunters with all-new scent-killing and attractant products you can trust. This season will mark my 15th using WRC products.  They have proven their salt in the hunting woods too many times, which is all a hunter can ask for.
