NOMAD has introduced the Ambush Shooting Shirt, a wingshooting-focused update to the company’s established Ambush Shirt. The new design combines lightweight construction with ventilation, moisture management, sun protection, and shooting-specific reinforcement for active days in the field.
The shirt is aimed at hunters moving between warm-weather walks, changing cover, and fast shooting opportunities. NOMAD retained the traditional shooting-shirt appearance while adding several technical features intended to improve comfort and utility.
“Wingshooting demands a shirt that can keep up with the pace of the hunt,” said Mike Tussey, Director of Marketing at NOMAD. “We took what shooters already loved about the Ambush Shirt and reengineered it specifically for the field, adding performance features that provide comfort, mobility, and protection when it matters most.”

The combination makes the Ambush Shooting Shirt relevant for early-season dove fields, upland hunts, and other situations where shooters may spend long periods walking or standing in warm conditions. Features such as the vented back and moisture-wicking fabric address heat management, while the recoil patches add reinforcement in a predictable high-wear area.
The three available finishes also give hunters a choice between traditional camouflage and a solid-color option, broadening the shirt’s usefulness beyond a single hunting environment.
