Athlon Optics has updated its value-oriented precision scope line with the Athlon Argos BTR GEN3 riflescopes, a four-model lineup built for long-range shooting, competition, target work, and close- to mid-range carbine applications.
The GEN3 series keeps the 30mm aircraft-grade aluminum tube common across the line and adds refinements aimed at better handling and more repeatable field use. Depending on the configuration, the lineup includes first focal plane, second focal plane, illuminated, and non-illuminated options.

The series includes 1-8×24, 6-24×50, 8-34×56, and 10-40×56 models. Athlon positions the 6-24×50 and 8-34×56 for shooters moving into Precision Rifle Series-style competition and long-range target shooting, while the 10-40×56 is aimed more squarely at benchrest and precision target work. The 1-8×24 low-power variable optic is built for faster target acquisition at closer distances.
